This week in the “Flowers 2 Beginners Mixed Media Course” we explored how to create different tones on light and dark backgrounds using both light and dark media – chalk and charcoal. It was really tricky to get our heads around working in negative on the dark paper. Well done everyone. In the “Inspired 4 – Online Beginners Art Course” we looked at Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempicka. Tone also plays a huge part in her work. Fantastic work everyone.

It was great to get back in the classroom this week and why not start off with lots of pink!? In the “Flowers 2 Beginners Mixed Media Course” we painted these beautiful Dahlias using watercolour paint. In the “Inspired 4 – Online Beginners Art Course” we looked at the work of Auguste Renoir. Both courses had to do a lot of colour mixing in different ways. A brilliant start to the course, well done everyone!

You will be sent a link before the start of the course which can be used each week to take you straight to the lesson.
Recorded video
Following the lesson you will also receive a link to a 30 minute recorded video of the whole picture being created by myself from start to finish in time lapse together with instructions along the way.
Information sheets
I will also email you an information sheet following the lesson with step by step instructions on how to create the picture.
Feedback/advice
Once you have produced your picture I would be happy to receive any photos of your work via email, text or WhatsApp and would gladly offer any advice or feedback that you might require.
